 Job Title: Accountant

Location: Remote/Hybrid - USA

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Department Name: Accounting

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt

 

Position Summary 

The Accountant is responsible for performing daily cash activities. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining daily cash as well as ACH/Bank verification.

 

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform daily cash reconciliation by reviewing and verifying all cash transactions across multiple bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and report daily cash balances, identifying variances and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and alignment of cash positions with accounting records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cash movements and support month-end and year-end cash reporting requirements.
  • Assist in forecasting short-term cash needs and contribute to cash flow analysis and planning.
  • Create Wires to transfer funds between bank accounts.
  • Directly work with Vendors to verify ACH/Bank information.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create new vendors in Business Central.
  • Collaborates and shares responsibility in facilitating and completing month-end close procedures to prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Reconcile all intercompany transactions between companies on a monthly basis.
  • Takes initiative to continually improve efficiency in daily cash processes.
  • Responds timely to requests for information/reports and gathering related documentation from internal/external auditors and company management in various departments and other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Review expense reports submitted and enter into Concur for weekly payments.
  • Ability to travel and/or work onsite as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles based on GAAP and accounting best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and accounting ERP systems.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of account management.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Travel and/or onsite work will be on an as needed basis.
