About the Role 

Our US Tax Advisory Services is expanding and we’re looking for a Manager to join our vast community of solvers. The US tax Advisory team brings our purpose to life by assisting in navigating the complexities of cross border tax obligations across the US and Australia. We assist Executives, High Net Wealth Individuals, their families and family offices to structure their business and investment holdings with multi-jurisdictions to mitigate double taxation and ensure global compliance. We are also experienced in assisting multinational organisations who have a US presence, US executives with their cross-border employer obligations, and tax planning. We are a fast-growing team, working on exciting and challenging projects delivering bespoke solutions for our clients.


The team has a presence in multiple locations in Australia and we are flexible on you work location (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane).
 

You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:

  • US tax advisory and compliance services for executives, high net wealth individuals, family offices and privately owned businesses
  • Experience gained in a Law firm or in a private client’s division of a Big 4 accounting firm or mid-tier firm. Having previously signed-off US tax returns
  • Information reporting forms in respect of companies, trusts and partnerships
  • Having an eye for detail and have strong research skills and problem-solving abilities
     

In our US Tax Advisory Services team, your impact will be seen by:

  • Delivering insights and top-quality US tax technical advice to high net wealth clients on a range of matters, including US Income tax planning, Asset structuring, Entity classifications and US Gift/Estate tax planning 
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and establishing trusting and long-term relationships 
  • Helping clients plan through the complex maze of tax issues arising from being residents in multiple jurisdictions 
  • Ensuring that tax forms and related schedules provided to the tax authorities are accurate, complete and can be trusted
     

IRS Enrolled Agent certification is preferred, but not essential.
