Job description

Responsible for all construction project management for company campus, labs, and locations. Manages work performed by contractors and consultants and provides general management of construction related jobs.

Manage, direct, and coordinate construction projects for company campus, labs, and locations

Oversees project design and project schedules on proposed projects. Responsible for delivering the project to the client in compliance with all contractual requirements and in accordance with Federal, State, and local law requirements


Provide project budget estimates for building and site work on proposed projects

Coordinates the identification of contractors, bids projects, contracts, develops and manages construction project budgets


Analyze specific site issues to determine appropriate scope of work needed. Identifies site deficiencies and determines impact to budget. Coordinate the review of the content of construction drawings and procedures, prior to issue, in order that construction execution is optimized in the most cost-effective and timely manner


Coordinate with relevant staff, the development of the construction schedule and monitor the progress against that schedule. Maintain communication with all external and internal team members and all other involved parties on matters pertaining to schedules, milestone action dates, and costs

Manage the work being undertaken to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards e.g. contract documents, specifications, method statements, client policy, procedures, and Federal, State, and local law requirements

Ensure that client policy and procedures i.e. ISO 9000, ADA, local labor laws, and safety procedures are consistently implemented across the project, taking effective remedial action where non-compliance is identified. Inspects construction progress on a regular pre-determined schedule


Monitor performance of suppliers and sub-contractors to determine compliance with contractual obligations. Escalate issues arising from disputes or sub-standard performance

Responsible for project close-out and reporting

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience

4+ years of construction management experience

4+ years of experience with financial, risk analysis, budgeting, making recommendations, and preparing business cases including cost-benefit analysis

Proven negotiation, project management, project estimating, and budgeting skills

Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices

Ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups

Proven ability to understand and analyze site plans and construction documents

Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under time constraints to meet deadlines

Strong direction and delegation skills

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $63,000.00 - $108,675.00
