About the Role

Monks is looking for a Senior AD/Motion to lead the creation, execution, and delivery of social-first content across a diverse client portfolio. Sitting at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and production, you’ll orchestrate platform-native work that sparks engagement, tells compelling stories, and drives results. As a senior leader within our agency, you will guide multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with strategists, creatives, producers, and clients to ship culturally relevant work across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead social content strategy and asset production across multiple clients.
  • Ensure every piece is platform-specific, creatively excellent, and aligned to brand objectives.
  • Own and drive social-first campaigns from concept through delivery—including timelines, creative direction, and feedback cycles.
  • Collaborate with creative, production, strategy, and client services teams for cohesive, fresh, and relevant campaigns.
  • Manage and mentor a team of content creators, editors, designers, and motion artists—nurturing a high-performing culture.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends and cultural moments to inform direction and planning.
  • Present work to clients with confidence—championing the “why” behind creative choices.
  • Track performance with strategy teams, constantly learning and iterating on proven content approaches.

 

About You

The essentials:

  • 7+ years of experience in social content creation, digital marketing, or creative production (agency background is a strong plus).
  • A standout portfolio or reel showcasing robust social campaigns, storytelling, and native content in various formats.
  • Deep understanding of how audiences engage across platforms.
  • Team management and mentorship experience with a talent for constructive feedback.
  • Proven ability to partner with clients—from interpreting briefs through production.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume settings where agility and creativity are key.
  • Passion for innovation, cultural relevance, and pushing the boundaries of social content.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Experience with paid social, asset optimization, and A/B testing.
  • Background in motion design, copywriting, or art direction.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Monday.com, Figma, or similar tools.
