We have an opportunity for a Sr. Accounting Manager to join our Accounting Royalties team! Reporting to the Sr. Director of Accounting, Royalties, the Sr. Manager of Accounting is a highly visible role, supporting accounting, finance and business operations as part of a growing portion of the Company’s business. This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to work onsite in our Pawtucket, RI office 3 days per week.

 

A day in the life of the Sr. Manager of Accounting:

  • Lead the day-to-day accounting of royalties globally across Hasbro.
  • Partner with business operations and finance business partners to ensure royalty accounting is aligned to business and operational needs.
  • Lead continuous improvement and modernization efforts across royalty system and business process to ensure an efficient system and business processes.
  • Provide overall support and analysis to executive management by investigating accounting questions, issues, and judgments and by partnering with team members from other business divisions to assist with accounting questions.
  • Act as a key liaison to the external auditors to assist in their completion of an efficient audit.
  • Lead the successful completion of royalty audits with third party customers and vendors.
  • Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting and reporting implications.
  • Complete ad hoc projects assigned by senior management, including analysis of business operations, proposed accounting treatment, or other accounting and finance-related matters. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Minimum 5 years public accounting experience and/or public company experience. Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.
  • Reviews performance and progress on a regular basis to ensure the team is achieving results.
  • Demonstrated success in the development of staff and others toward improved skills, independence, and self-initiative.
  • Ability to earn trust and credibility within the organization, and capable of developing effective business relationships with all members of the company’s senior leadership team.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound business decisions.

The base salary range for this position is $119,300.00 to $178,900.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
