Maintenance Technician

FR Conversions is seeking a hands-on, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, whether from automotive, trade school, or prior work experience and wants to grow in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working from a daily to-do list, taking initiative, and asking questions when needed. You don’t need to know everything, but you do need the right attitude, mechanical aptitude, and a strong work ethic.

You’ll support the daily upkeep and improvement of our facilities, including basic repairs, equipment checks, and facility inspections. This is a physically active role that’s perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems with their hands and takes pride in a job well done.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks including basic repairs, minor installations, and upkeep across the facility.

• Work independently from a daily task list while staying flexible to new priorities.

• Troubleshoot issues as they arise and ask for support when you’re unsure, no guesswork required.

• Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify potential problems and take corrective action.

• Keep the workspace safe, clean, and organized.

• Support larger projects like equipment moves, renovations, and routine inspections.

• Help manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.

• Coordinate with vendors or contractors on service calls as needed.

• Be available for occasional after-hours facility needs or emergencies.

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions.

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Mechanically inclined – you’re good with your hands and enjoy fixing things.

• Comfortable using hand and power tools.

• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a loud, non-climate-controlled setting.

• A problem solver who doesn’t need constant direction.

• Knows their limits and asks for help when needed.

• Reliable and consistent in attendance and execution of tasks.

• Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.

Salary & Compensation:

This is a full-time, hourly position. Pay is based on experience, mechanical skills, and overall fit. All salary and compensation packages at FR Conversions are subject to applicable labor laws, FR Conversions standard company policies, and payroll regulations, including taxes and withholdings.

This position is a full-time, hourly, FLSA non-exempt role (SOC Code – 49-9071).

Safety-Sensitive Position:

This role is a safety-sensitive position and may require at-cause and post-incident drug and alcohol testing to maintain a safe working environment.

Salary & Compensation: The Facilities Associate position is a full-time hourly position with pay between $28.00--$32.00 per hour.
