Role Description:  

BBQGuys is seeking a data-driven, hands-on, and strategic Pricing Manager to lead the evolution and execution of our pricing operations team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end pricing process, manage a small team of analysts, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize profitability, enhance competitiveness, and deliver customer value. You’ll play a key role in shaping pricing strategy, analyzing market and competitive trends, and supporting our broader merchandising and growth initiatives. This is a player-coach role within a transformational Pricing function ideal for a strong, empathetic leader who is passionate about pricing and ready to make a meaningful impact. 

What You’ll Do:  

Key Responsibilities: 

Pricing Operations 

  • Own and manage the end-to-end process for updating both everyday and promotional pricing on BBQGuys.com.
  • Ensure accurate and timely implementation of vendor-driven pricing updates and promotions.
  • Maintain strong pricing data integrity and documentation across internal systems.

Pricing Strategy 

  • Monitor market pricing trends through third-party pricing intelligence tools 
  • Analyze pricing data for the whole catalog to identify opportunities to improve profit margins, conversion rates, and sales velocity.
  • Propose and execute pricing tests to support data-driven decision-making and long-term profitability.
  • Flag and escalate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) violations in collaboration with vendor relations.

 

Team Management 

  • Manage and mentor two pricing analysts; provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team adherence to pricing accuracy, process discipline, and cross-functional alignment.

What You’ll Have: 

  • 3–5 years of experience in eCommerce pricing strategy, merchandising analytics, or revenue operations.
  • eCommerce experience required.
  • Prior experience managing at least one direct report or small team.
  • Strong understanding of digital pricing tools, promotional strategies, and MAP compliance.
  • Experience with third-party competitive pricing tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, or Looker preferred.
  • Highly analytical with keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Background in high-SKU industries (e.g., home goods, appliances, consumer electronics) is a plus.
