Job Description/ Responsibilities

Understand Mainview product capable of creating automation, using Total Object Manager (TOM). Process requests for automation from all Mainframe support groups and businesses. Good understanding of problem, incident and change management process flows. Install, upgrade, and maintain supported software products for software currency, applying necessary fixes, and maintaining oper security, performance, and high availability configurations. Manage incidents for supported software/hardware as a Level 2/3 technician, including actively participating in troubleshooting conferences, resolving assigned incidents, or opening support cases with software/hardware manufacturers. Follow change management standards, including proper pre-implementation testing, quality of change documentation, scheduling changes with adequate lead-time, communicating to key stakeholders, and implementing during allowed change windows. Attend monthly meetings with software/hardware suppliers to understand their direction, inform them of challenges, and review/prioritize open incidents. Proactively learn/understand new features of supported software/hardware. Participate in team meetings to ensure key internal and external stakeholders are kept informed of project status. Build, leverage, and maintain effective alliances across technical and business community. Interact with customers to achieve efficient, effective, and credible results. Understand how supported software/hardware is used to achieve business goals. Work occasional weekend and nights to support implementation / upgrade activities to ensure high success of change activity as well as supporting off-shift incident resolution as needed.
