Impact of the role:

• Drives the journal's growth and influence by attracting submissions and enhancing its reputation within the academic community

• Develops Specialty Sections to ensure alignment with strategic goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops assigned Specialty Sections to leaders in their field by executing growth strategies for their long-term success.

• Engages and builds relationships with editors and researchers and promotes the Journal(s) to secure high-quality submissions and community trust.

• Supports team effectiveness through participating in training, accurate reporting on progress and data-driven insights, and sharing best practices.

• Drives customer satisfaction by addressing feedback, delivering operational excellence, participating in initiatives, as well as triggering process and product improvements.

Skills / Knowledge:

• Good analytical acumen with the ability to use data to continuously improve

performance.

• Technical savvy, open to learning new tools and processes.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

Abilities / Competencies:

• Demonstrated time management expertise, prioritization skills, and project coordination.

• Ability to adjust specialty section strategies based on evolving industry trends and organizational goals.

• Sales mindset, excellent at building effective relationships with customers both digitally and in person.

• Results-driven and solution-oriented with a commitment to excellence and a proactive, collaborative attitude.

• Sound judgment in sensitive situations and tactfulness when engaging with diverse stakeholders

Experience & Education:

• Work experience that fostered relevant transferable skills, with a graduate degree or higher preferred, coupled with a passion for advancing research dissemination and open science
