You have
Experience of developing engaging content for a variety of platforms and audiences and a talent for telling stories using creative and innovative approaches.
Experience of pitching technical stories to the media, identifying stories with media potential, working with journalists and briefing spokespeople.
Experience and understanding of how to produce content for and manage digital channels including social media.
An understanding of best practice approaches in evaluating communications activities.
A passion for science and technology and a well developed ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.
You may also have
Contract length: 3 years (renewable up to 9 years)
Salary: Grade 5, monthly salary of £3,229 after tax but excluding pension and insurance contributions. Plus generous benefits.

Your role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic communications specialist with strong content production skills. As a member of EMBL’s distributed Communications group and EMBL-EBI’s Communications team, you will produce high-quality content, and support the day-to-day running of social media. You will also use your media relations skills to identify and get press coverage for EMBL-EBI stories.
