Position Summary: As an Associate on the Remittance Tracking Service Integrity Team, you will be responsible for collaboration with stakeholders with the Product organization, Business Operations, and Intelligent Automation to identify, quantify, prioritize and execute on opportunities to create, enhance, and streamline workflows, ensuring desired outcomes and calculated cost savings are achieved.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and enhance workflows and directives

  • Monitor outcomes for workflows in production to ensure desired results are achieved. Proactively take corrective action when outcomes deviate from the expected

  • Create webportal navigation guides, in collaboration with stakeholder teams, as necessary to enable non-calling workflows

  • Collaborate with stakeholder teams to ensure work is delivered to the right user at the right time, while ensuring work is executed at the lowest effective price point

  • Develop and document new processes to ensure minimum service commitments are achieved and proactively monitor risk

  • Take action, with urgency, when new process blockers are identified

  • Develop new creative solutions to complete work through automation

  • Engage with shared services teams, and directly with payers, when necessary, to ensure alignment on urgent issues impacting athena’s operational processes

  • Maintain, prioritize, and curate a stakeholder request tracker through which stakeholder teams submit requests for service or analysis

  • Align initiatives with company-wide and department-specific goals

  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies

  • Represent and advocate the Remittance Tracking Service Integrity point of view when facing off with stakeholder teams

  • Provide consultation to stakeholder teams on Remittance Tracking services and processes

Typical Qualifications  

  • Minimum 2-4 years professional experience with healthcare revenue cycle operations

  • Ability to drive initiatives to successful completion and closure

  • Working knowledge of the Agile process framework and ceremonies (experience a plus)

  • Demonstrated project management skills and knowledge of various PM and workstream tools including; Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, and Sharepoint

  • Mastery of the entire suite of Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience working with diverse cross-functional groups and teams to achieve common goals

  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities, manage several projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate potential conflicts to your leadership

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and direct others
