General Description:

The Senior Manager, Market Access will play a pivotal role in securing timely and sustainable access for BeiGene’s oncology and haematology portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. This role requires demonstrated experience in developing and executing market access strategies, leading PBAC and PHARMAC submissions, and collaborating across key internal and external stakeholders.

This individual will operate with a high degree of autonomy and serve as a strategic partner across cross-functional teams. Key collaborators include colleagues in commercial, medical, regulatory, business insights and analytics, finance, and global functions. The role is integral to shaping feasibility assessments, delivering actionable access insights to inform business planning, driving successful product launches, and supporting sustained reimbursement across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead preparation of PBAC and PHARMAC submissions, including writing clear, evidence-based content, with accountability for quality, alignment, and delivery timelines.

  • Serve as the market access lead on cross-functional teams, delivering reliable access and payer insights to shape strategy and inform business planning.

  • Conduct reimbursement feasibility assessments for pipeline assets to support portfolio prioritisation and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate and lead pricing activities across the product lifecycle for Australia and New Zealand, including rebate verification, list maintenance, and support for price negotiations, renewals, and commercial arrangements.

  • Manage the internal price approval process, including support in developing business cases and ensuring compliance with internal governance procedures and company SOPs.

  • Monitor the evolving reimbursement and policy landscape in Australia and New Zealand and contribute to stakeholder engagement activities that support access objectives.

  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure local access insights inform evidence planning and support alignment on access and pricing strategy.

  • Support long-term planning and launch readiness through access-related forecasting, budget impact analysis, and scenario planning to ensure reimbursement and market preparedness.

Qualification Required:

Education / Experience Required: 

  • Undergraduate degree required

  • Post-graduate degree and/or MBA preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of market access experience in HTA market required

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical market access or health economics, with a strong track record of leading successful PBAC submissions; PHARMAC experience is an advantage.

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Economics, Public Health, Science, Pharmacy, or a related field; postgraduate training strongly preferred.

  • In-depth experience in oncology and/or haematology market access.

  • Advanced capability in writing high-quality HTA submissions with clear, evidence-based value propositions.

  • Strong understanding of PBS pricing, listing pathways, post-listing processes, and list maintenance activities.

  • Proficient in budget impact modelling for PBAC submissions and internal forecasting.

  • Familiarity with economic evaluation, including cost-effectiveness models; strong Excel literacy desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently, including management of external vendors and project timelines.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and matrix environments, and to lead collaborative initiatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to technical and non-technical audiences.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in standard computer applications, with advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
