Job description

Position Purpose:
Oversee the development and management of assigned product(s). Innovate and introduce new products through understanding of key market trends, stakeholder needs and evolving regulations.

  • Leads the delivery of product roadmaps, workstreams, and third-party relationships.

  • Works closely with senior management (internally and with external partners) to define services and solutions that can meet current and anticipate future needs.

  • Provides direction, prioritization and motivation to program and product teams, in order to manage allocation of resources to meet work fluctuations and budget and time constraints across multiple programs, third party and internal dependencies, and industry changes.

  • Provides coaching, counseling and motivation to team members, ensuring staff has the appropriate tools and training, and builds a culture of collaboration, support and innovation.

  • Monitor and stay up to date on key market trends and evolving regulations and identify new product opportunities

  • Evaluate and update product features, benefits and value adds from concept and design to development and deployment

  • Develop and maintain product resources and up to date policies and procedures to assist in selling, marketing and implementations

  • Work with stakeholder partners in market adoption of new concepts and changes

  • Monitor and analyze product performance and make recommendations on modifications/enhancements

  • Communicate and present recommendations regarding new ideas and products to senior management

  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing products and services to improve clinical, financial, product appeal performance to better align with competitors

  • Responsible for defining and communicating product strategies, as well as ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder/market needs

  • Manage a team of clinical and product professionals

  • Create and develop both short term and long-term strategy for products/solutions to drive the business forward with a knowledge of the potential market paths

  • Interface with clients on product design and promote product benefits, capabilities, and value propositions through relationship with key customers

  • Gather and analyze feedback from various departments and recommend potential changes throughout the life cycle of the products

  • Participate in the design and development of the product strategy, roadmap and priorities

  • Effectively and proactively communicate details to market leaders and other partners

  • Support leadership and partnership with sales and market to drive optimized and competitive growth opportunities

  • Provide knowledge, mentorship and leadership to peers and team members to enhance overall team performance

  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, Physician Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Proposal, IT and Data Analyst Team steams to develop products that anticipate the market needs and drive the specialty pharmacy business forward. Provides the execution, strategy and leadership for a team of both clinical and product professionals for the specialty pharmacy business.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent experience. 7+ years of product and services development and management, including experience with assigned product(s). Knowledge of and experience with specialty pharmacy strongly preferred. Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff required.

Direct Reports: 2 for now, 3 or 4 potentially later.
 

Pay Range: $138,700.00 - $256,300.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
