Job description

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Trade Marketing Manager involves managing commercial finance aspects, ensuring the accuracy of promotion planning, and tracking and measuring the return on investment (ROI) for all trade marketing activities. This role also overseeing trade budget allocation and monitoring of trade spend.

This role will be partnering with Sales and Channel Trade Marketing team for developing and executing Trade Marketing strategies to drive sales and increase brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Finance Management  

  • Oversee the commercial finance aspects of trade marketing, including budget management and promotion spend allocation.
  • Analyze financial data to track the performance of trade marketing activities and provide insights for improvement.
  • Ensure that all trade marketing activities are within the budget and deliver a positive ROI.

2. Spend Monitoring and Control:

  • Track and analyze trade spend by channel by brand by SKU to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain effective spend control measures.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance and Channel Trade Marketing teams to align spending with business objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for trade spend-related inquiries and issues.

3. Promotion Planning & Execution:

  • Work closely with sales and channel trade marketing to understand customer need and develop plans to support brand objectives and sales targets.
  • Ensure the accuracy of promotion planning, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with sales, channel trade marketing and finance team to ensure seamless execution of promotional activities.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in FMCG
  • Familiarity with market research tools and technique
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and spend control.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence across departments.
