Role Overview:
This role ensures the effective implementation and oversight of labor relations, regulatory compliance, and HR Governance within BSISA (Switzerland and Dubai). Acting as key partner to the business, this role guarantees alignment with Swiss labor laws and internal policies.
The role also leads payroll coordination and supports strategic HR projects, contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Labor law & Employee Relations:
Ensure that the company complies with the Swiss legal framework regarding labor relations: labor law, as well as agreements and conventions.
Manage employment contracts and their modifications in accordance with the law and internal policies
Lead complex negotiations, mediate disputes, investigates unfair labor practice, and coordinate disciplinary actions, grievances and arbitration in line with company policies and legal frameworks.
Supervise the correct compliance with occupational health and safety measures in the company
Maintain knowledge of labor and union agreements, policies and procedures.
2. Governance & Audit:
Ensure the proper implementation of the Santander Group's HR regulatory framework in the BSISA regions and the up-to-date maintenance of policies and procedures.
Ensure the correct implementation and monitoring of audit and compliance issues involving the HR area.
3. Compensation & Payroll:
Coordinate with external payroll provider to ensure accurate payroll calculations, reviewing and verifying data for salaries, benefits, pension fund contributions taxes, social contributions and other deductions in compliance with Swiss regulation.
Contribute to the monthly and annual declaration process to taxes, social security, insurance and pension funds
Manage day-to-day benefits programs, design and deliver benefits solutions and policies in line with the firm's human resources and business strategies. Assist, monitor and manage defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans.
4. Others:
Take ownership of critical HR projects, supervising their execution across multiple branches and ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
Contribute to the quality of employee data records and continuous process improvement
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in senior HR roles, with significant exposure to labor relations across multiple geographies.
Deep expertise in Swiss labor laws and familiarity with international HR compliance frameworks.
Proven experience in multinational companies with matrix models
Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems, particularly Workday
Exceptional, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Fluency in Spanish, English and French.
Resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate
