As the demand for skilled workers rises and the landscape of power generation continues to evolve, we’re expanding our technical training team. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Technical Training Specialist with deep subject matter expertise in UK and/or EU electrical power station (generation, transmission, and/or distribution). In this flexible, contract/casual-based role, you’ll help create and deliver compelling, technically accurate training content for professionals working in power generation, transmission, and distribution.

This is a unique opportunity to blend your real-world industry experience with a passion for teaching and content creation—while working remotely with a team dedicated to quality and innovation.

1. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

  • Bring your technical expertise in UK/EU electrical power station (generation, transmission and/or distribution) to guide course development
  • Ensure training materials reflect current practices, terminology, and regulations
  • Provide insight and feedback to instructional designers, content developers, and clients

2. Support Content Development

  • Collaborate with designers, graphic artists, and clients to build eLearning modules and training guides
  • Review and update technical training materials to maintain accuracy and engagement
  • Use internal tools and Microsoft Office Suite to help deliver high-quality content on time

3. Contribute to Training Solutions

  • Assist in developing comprehensive training plans tailored to client and learner needs
  • Participate in the delivery of classroom, hands-on, or virtual training sessions when needed
  • Support evaluation efforts to improve content, learning outcomes, and learner engagement

4. Support Internal & External Collaboration

  • Provide expert input to internal teams such as sales and marketing
  • Help ensure product accuracy and alignment with customer expectations
  • Participate in occasional client consultations to assess technical training needs

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in UK and/or EU power station generation, transmission or distribution
  • 2+ years in training, instructional design, or learning & development, focused on adult learners
  • Expertise in UK and/or EU standards and systems in electrical power is essential
  • Strong communication skills—you can simplify technical ideas for diverse audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills and comfort working independently in a remote environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong technical writing ability

Preferred

  • Experience developing content for online and in-person delivery
  • Comfortable working with asynchronous teams and managing competing deadlines
