Job description

Job Overview

Serve as a therapeutic patient insights expert throughout the new business and project delivery lifecycle in patient recruitment and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Works closely with the Patient Centricity Data Manager in conducting therapeutic and social media patient insights research, and qualitative and quantitative analyses, integrating the patient voice to solutions for clinical trial patient recruitment and engagement.

Work with content development professionals and other internal stakeholders to analyse information and data, and use behavioural frameworks, to enable development of efficient and feasible delivery solutions. This may include, but is not limited to, social media listening, patient profiling, patient journey and empathy mapping, and assessment of the competitive and therapeutic landscape.

Applies behavioural science principles to support the development of inclusive, patient-centric solutions and key messaging. Train and support Writers, Art Directors and Graphic Designers to incorporate behavioural science tactics into content development.

Supports the creation and optimization of innovative and effective delivery strategies and solutions for large, multi-service studies or programs, (may include complex, multi-region studies) that incorporate and leverage IQVIA services and experience, are operationally feasible, and result in the award of new business.

Collaborate with BD and pre-award strategy teams to evaluate and contribute to new opportunities received from customers. This may include, but is not limited to, full service and stand-alone programs and projects, requests for information (RFI), capabilities. Design, structure and deliver client reports and presentations that are appropriate to the audience.

Qualifications

  • Candidate should be able to demonstrate a solid academic foundation in health psychology / behavioural science (ideally to at least Masters level).
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience

  • Approximately 5 years or more tangible experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Application of behavioural theory and behaviour change techniques / psychological approaches to health intervention design and delivery. Familiarity and experience with theory and models related to medications adherence, self-management of chronic illness, health systems change
    • Market research or social research ideally in healthcare
    • Health management, e.g. as a Research Assistant
  • Demonstrable presentation and dissemination skills and experience 
  • Experience of working in commercial environments, in particular pharmaceutical industry, desirable but not essential

Key Skills

  • Proven ability to make decisions with limited information, bringing clarity to disparate information to inform actions and drive results.
  • Experience working productively in a pressurized environment, managing competing priorities and maintaining a positive outlook at work.
  • Comprehensive global knowledge, awareness, and practical understanding of the biopharma industry, drug development lifecycle and operational clinical trial delivery.
  • Current knowledge of scientific, clinical, regulatory, commercial and competitive landscape across therapeutic areas. In depth knowledge of, and skill in applying, applicable clinical research regulatory requirements. e.g. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines.
  • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, including good command of English language (both written and spoken).
  • Innovative and strategic thinker.
  • Good business acumen including confidence with financial considerations, excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and comfort working in both sales and operational environments.
  • Confident and capable in the use of technology, applications and other media e.g. databases and internet to research assess new opportunities, maintain currency of therapeutic and operational knowledge and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide network of individuals e.g. coworkers, managers and customers.
