Position Overview:

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to manage key financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in transaction categorization, reconciliations, tax filings, and financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently while collaborating with the team to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately categorize transactions and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare and file sales and excise tax reports on a monthly or quarterly basis.
• Identify 1099 vendors, collect W9s, and file 1099s annually.
• Retrieve and organize bank statements and client files following company standards.
• Support invoicing, bill pay, and custom client processes as needed.
• Manage the monthly financial close process for assigned clients.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in accounting software (ideally QuickBooks Online (QBO); other platforms are acceptable).
• Experience with Bill.com or other AP management platforms (preferred).
• Strong understanding of sales tax, 1099 vendor requirements, and financial reconciliation.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client accounts.
• Excellent communication skills in English (basic proficiency required).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience working with U.S.-based clients or accounting firms.
• Familiarity with financial reporting best practices.
• Background in remote, distributed team environments.
