Job description

You remember the first time you walked into a Costco club like it was yesterday! In fact, you joke that that day altered your brain chemistry (it blew your mind, in other words) and completely changed your definition of “ideal shopping experience.” The variety, the Costco-sized product packaging, the giant carts, clothes, food, snacks, the pizza slices…Costco has it all, and you fell in love! Ever since that first experience, you’ve been their #1 fan! The only thing that could possibly make Costco better, in your opinion, might just come down to one thing: stocking more Siete. Which is why working to bring Siete to Costco clubs nationwide would be a Costco-sized dream come true!

On top of it all, you know all there is to know about sales goals, velocities, and planning metrics, and you’re willing and ready to share that knowledge with your team and cross-functionally. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you for our Sr. Sales Manager - Costco position!

About you:
  • You take initiative, communicate effectively, manage your time, and pay great attention two detail. (Which means you likely noticed a typo in the preceding sentence and already drafted a kindly worded message to alert us.)
  • You know all things “sales processes in the Club Channel” like the back of your hand—or better, even! And when it comes to broker management, promotional planning, and customer development, well, you’ve got that covered, too.
  • Whether on the phone, over email, or in a presentation, your communication is clear as a crystal...and a very shiny crystal, at that.
  • Like a hawk, you maintain a high degree of attention to detail, even from a bird's eye view.
  • You put the word “leader” in “cheerleader,” and by that, we mean: you lead with encouragement and positive vibes. Plus, teamwork and collaboration are second-nature to you—go, team!
  • Your parents and Bear Grylls would agree that you are extremely resourceful and have the ability to make a lot out of a little.
  • Like a blindfolded child to a piñata full of candy, you’re able to decide and act (swing and hit!) without seeing the total picture.
  • You have big goals, but no problem is too small for you to lend a helping hand.
  • Problem solving is your idea of a fun pastime—especially when you’ve got a taco in hand.

  • What you will do:
  • Contribute to the strategic framework for Costco, inclusive of product strategy and annual planning, ensuring clarity of goals and regular communication on progress with internal partners.
  • Communicate sales plan updates and planning metrics to key stakeholders such as Finance, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Provide key forecasting inputs in production prioritization, inventory management,  product mix, and business performance to relevant stakeholders to manage customer demand.
  • Achieve revenue targets, new item launch goals, and seize opportunities to increase Siete visibility and velocities within regions.
  • Develop relationships with Costco across assigned regions and/or departments.
  • Track identified sales metrics and represent the Costco business to the broader organization.
  • Partner with VP to manage overall trade spending performance for Costco.
  • Partner with VP to manage broker relationships and commissions contracts.
  • Travel up to 50% and attend trade shows.

  • Your experience:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience within consumer packaged goods sales is required; including sales experience with Costco in food and beverage.
  • Familiar with data systems like Costco CRX.
  • Please fill out our culture questionnaire. There are no wrong answers here -we want to learn more about you!
