Position Overview:
The Healthcare Informaticist, Revenue Cycle promotes the understanding, integration, and application of healthcare information technology in support of revenue cycle workflows and objectives as well as the organization’s vision and strategic goals. The Revenue Cycle Informaticist drives the optimal, efficient and effective use of clinical and revenue cycle information systems and technology as it relates to billing, posting and coding practices, compliance, end-user satisfaction, revenue cycle productivity, and measurable quality outcomes specific to revenue cycle processes. They will analyze and translate workflow, billing, posting, and coding requirements for revenue cycle processes into efficient and effective solutions in our electronic health record (EHR). The Revenue Cycle Informaticist will collaborate with members of the interprofessional revenue cycle team, broader clinical care teams, operational leaders, and other technical team members. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be collaborative, can build and maintain relationships, and take initiative to solve and/or devise collaborative solutions for complex problems.
Schedule: Full time position, day shift hours, no evenings, weekends or holidays.
Location: This remote role must be located in one of the Bluestone Markets (Minnesota, Wisconsin or Florida).
Salary: $74,000 to $94,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
- Utilizes data to drive process, workflow and behavior change as it relates to appropriate and efficient use of electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical and revenue cycle technology
- Documents specifications that will translate into the development of tools, reports, and systems that support organizational business needs
- Collaborates with other departments in the development and revision of initiatives and programs related to data collection, retrieval, analysis and interpretation to assist in optimizing revenue cycle outcomes, effectiveness and efficiency
- Serves as a resource to end users for information systems and technology, effectively communicating system changes, workflow process changes, downtime procedures to all stakeholders and process owners
- Acts as a key resource regarding education, support, training, policies and procedures, providing ongoing education and support for all upgrades, new releases, and enhanced functionality
- Understands how to translate workflows into processes within the EHR; Works with vendors, revenue cycle, clinical, and operational leaders to enhance integrations and user workflows
- Plans, designs, develops, validates, tests, implements, evaluates, maintains, and provides on-going troubleshooting and support of comprehensive information system components to meet needs and business requirements
- Performs quality assurance and integrated testing of current and newly released vendor functionality to ensure system reliability
- Coordinates projects across applications and develops application specific enhancements and reports in alignment with organizational priorities
- Develops and maintains project documentation and ensures centralized storage and indexing of documentation
- Works with Training team to test, train, and implement system upgrades and enhancements
- Champions standardization and promote adoption of best practices for use of EHR system in all markets
- Maintains system security ensuring patient confidentiality
- Ensures adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and best practices
- Act as a liaison between IT staff, revenue cycle staff, and operations staff regarding EHR

Qualifications:
Required Education/Certification/Experience
- 2+ years working in a health care environment directly supporting workflows with an EHR system
- Experience implementing new, large-scale and/or standardizing workflows and related requirements in complex EHR systems
- Experience with EHR workflow enhancement and process design and/or improvement
- Template design and standardization experience
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience
- EHR certification: eMDs Aprima
- Revenue cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field
