Description

The Commercial Card Consultant is a hands-on product and sales position that works across the entire product lifecycle for our growing commercial partnership credit card portfolio (Payables, Commercial & Large Business). The position requires advanced knowledge of commercial card products and tools used by our clients and cardholders. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, provide an appropriate mix of technology & product expertise, and work directly with clients and companies to grow commercial card usage.

Product Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of card products, optimization tools, and our customer’s market needs. This position will apply their expertise to drive portfolio growth and program spend within the commercial card portfolio. Candidate will have influence in the product strategy designed to meet business, bank partner and customer needs, as well as optimize the quality, performance, and financial growth of the portfolio.
  • Responsible for Commercial Card’s marketing support, training, and client delivery.
  • Monitor industry trends, including reading industry periodicals, web sites and other means necessary to maximize industry expertise.
  • Consult with clients and assist in the establishment of annual spend goals and objectives for each sizable commercial card company and develop management reports to track progress monthly.

Operations and Partner Management Responsibilities:

  • Develop training materials and best practice aids.
  • Present Commercial Card product training for internal and bank partners to keep them informed of products and services available to customers.
  • Meet regularly with Relationship Managers to identify growth opportunities and provide information on products, services, and unique applications.
  • Serve as liaison on escalated Commercial product issues for internal users and bank partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external business partners.
  • This position with report to the Direct of Product Management – Commercial Card.

Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Ability to understand and document client and/or business needs and assist in translating into technical business requirements to a given solution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of Commercial Card experience.
  • Excellent communications skills and proven ability to communicate effectively.
  • Subject matter expertise in the Commercial Card/Payables payments as well as knowledge of other Payments types.
  • Understand/maintain network rules and regulations associated with assigned products.
  • Some travel may be required.
