Job description

At Thorne, we work to deliver high-quality, science-backed solutions to empower individuals to take a proactive approach to their well-being. Each day begins with a mission to help others discover and achieve their best health. We count on our team members to challenge and push the boundaries to make that happen. At Thorne, you’ll be joining a team of more than 750 passionate individuals committed to our cause of providing superior health solutions at every age and life stage.

Position Summary: We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented leader to join our growing team as the Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy. In this role, you will partner closely with the VP of Strategic Business Planning & Financial Analysis to drive the implementation, tracking, and optimization of Thorne’s key strategic initiatives. You will serve as a connective force between functional teams and executive leadership, ensuring that our strategic initiatives and annual business planning objectives translate into measurable results.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

Enable Cross-Functional Strategy Execution

  • Translate Thorne’s long-range strategic priorities into detailed execution plans in partnership with initiative owners and department leaders.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across teams to ensure alignment, sequencing, and timely delivery of initiatives.
  • Act as a thought partner to initiative leads to challenge assumptions, validate feasibility, and maintain focus on outcomes.

Establish and Manage the Strategy Execution Operating Rhythm

  • Design and maintain a robust, scalable operating cadence to review, track, and govern progress across all enterprise initiatives.
  • Facilitate monthly and quarterly executive-level reviews to assess initiative health, unlock resources, and support decision-making.
  • Ensure updates and escalations are delivered consistently to the ELT and other key stakeholders through presentations and dashboards.

Build Transparent Initiative Management Infrastructure

  • Develop and maintain centralized tools (e.g., initiative tracker, status dashboards) that provide visibility into initiative performance, dependencies, timelines, and owners.
  • Standardize initiative charters, milestone definitions, and reporting templates to create consistency and accountability across workstreams.
  • Monitor initiative interdependencies to avoid execution bottlenecks and mitigate cross-functional risks early.

Support KPI Definition, Tracking, and Initiative ROI

  • Partner with FP&A to define initiative-level success metrics.
  • Track actual results against plans, identify gaps, and ensure initiatives are course-corrected where needed.
  • Contribute to post-mortem and learning reviews to identify what’s working, what’s not, and institutionalize improvements.

Drive Strategic Planning Cycles

  • Support the annual planning process by developing frameworks, timelines, and facilitation materials for workshops, ELT reviews, and initiative prioritization.
  • Coordinate with functional leaders to ensure cross-functional inputs are synthesized into cohesive, actionable plans.
  • Facilitate the translation of strategy into annual operating plans in partnership with the FP&A team.

Enhance Executive Communication and Alignment

  • Develop high-impact communication materials, including board-level updates, initiative scorecards, and progress briefings tailored to various audiences.
  • Ensure consistent messaging around priorities, resourcing decisions, and performance expectations across departments.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders by providing clear visibility into initiative progress, highlighting risks, and enabling informed decisions.

What You Need

  • 3-5 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a strategy/operations role within a high-growth company. Experience advising or operating within the health, wellness, or consumer sectors is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects from strategy development through execution, with a strong focus on measurable outcomes and value creation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to rapidly assess business challenges, model financial implications, and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills; able to develop clear, compelling materials for senior leadership, boards, and cross-functional teams.
  • High level of comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial modeling, initiative tracking, or PMO reporting tools is a plus.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
