This is a remote position.

THIS ROLE IS OPEN TO COLOMBIAN RESIDENTS ONLY.

Schedule:
9AM to 6PM EST
Monday to Friday
With 1 hour unpaid breaks


We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Virtual Assistant from Colombia to join our team as a Care Coordinator. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and preferably has a medical background or experience working in the medical department of a BPO company. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive timely communication, appointment scheduling, and follow-up care.

This is a remote position that requires a professional, proactive, and patient-focused individual who can handle administrative healthcare-related tasks with discretion and care.

Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or scheduling platform

Make follow-up calls to ensure patients are adhering to care plans and attending scheduled visits

Provide reminders for upcoming appointments and address rescheduling needs

Maintain accurate records of all interactions with patients in the system

Coordinate with healthcare providers and departments to facilitate smooth patient experiences

Respond to patient inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner

Monitor communication channels (calls, emails, chat) for timely responses

Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information

Assist with other administrative support tasks as needed

Requirements
Must be based in Colombia

MUST HAVE A WINDOWS OS COMPUTER

Fluency in spoken and written English is required

At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related role or in a medical BPO department

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proven experience in scheduling and administrative coordination

Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care processes is a plus

Tech-savvy with proficiency in using tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software

Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office setup

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
