The Distribution Division is the team that manages and optimizes how our hotel inventory is distributed across various third-party channels such as OTAs (Online Travel Agencies), GDS (Global Distribution Systems), and wholesale partners. As a key member of our Distribution team, you will lead strategic initiatives that enhance our commercial performance and drive growth across our channel landscape.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of key commercial and distribution initiatives aligned with organizational goals and timelines.

  • Develop and refine performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

  • Strengthen the analytics function to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Overhaul Choice’s approach to third-party channels to meet enterprise and brand-specific goals.

  • Enforce Internet Distribution Policy (IDP), rate parity, and ensure hotel participation standards are met.

  • Manage P&L for distribution channels to meet revenue and margin targets.

  • Lead global connectivity enhancement projects and new partner integrations.

  • Build and maintain relationships with global partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Drive performance management culture across all partners, focusing on rate accuracy, content, and inventory availability.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in account or vendor management, including large contract negotiations and P&L responsibility.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic planning or management consulting.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.

  • Hospitality industry experience is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Demonstrates key competencies including strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.


Your Team

This is a leadership role that will report to the Senior Director, Distribution Strategy. You will have no direct reports initially but will collaborate with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Director, Distribution Strategy & Business Operations, you will be working at our beautiful headquarters in Bethesda, MD. Frequent nationwide travel will be required up to 20% of the time to visit partners, attend conventions, and support franchisee engagement.
 

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $149,000 - $175,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP) and may also be eligible for annual awards of Choice Hotels International common stock through Choice’s Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTI Plan).

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
