St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne offers a highly structured BPT program where trainees are supported and mentored throughout their 3 years of training. The program has enjoyed outstanding success over many years and is renowned for its very high pass rates in the written and clinical assessments of the RACP.
Trainees’ wellbeing, engagement and support is central to the program.
As a BPT2 at SVHM, you will be providing supervised effective day-to-day care for clinical management of ambulatory and admitted patients, including but not limited to assessment, clinical management and discharge planning. These positions will be suitable for applicants who have completed BPT1 training and intend to progress though BPT2 and BPT3.
There are a variety of subspecialty rotations available at BPT2 level as well as rotations in general medicine.
During the year trainees may be seconded to work in other hospitals that form part the Compass 6 Physician training consortium.
Successful candidates will commence their post with SVHM on Monday 02 February, 2026 - Sunday, 31 January, 2027
Classifications for this position will range from HM13 - HM18 ($98,224.88 - $149,885 pro rata per annum) + salary sacrifice and excluding super
