Are you a passionate, skilled Senior Vet Nurse who would like the opportunity to take on Practice Manager duties? We’re looking for a Full-time Practice Manager/Senior Vet Nurse to join our talented and dynamic team at AdelaideVet Stirling!

Our beautiful practice is nestled in the heart of picturesque Stirling. We are searching for a dynamic and confident Senior Nurse who can join our team and embrace the unique community spirit that only the stunning Adelaide Hills can provide. In this position you will be required to perform Practice Manager duties and be available to work a 1 in 4 weekend shift within our AdelaideVet network.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Holds certificate IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent qualification.

  • 3+ years Senior Vet Nurse experience or experience within a Head Vet Nurse role.

  • Strong experience in nursing and handling a variety of cases.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

  • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

  • A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to providing the best service to our clients and their pets.

About The Role 

  • Overseeing all operational and people matters within the clinic

  • Assisting our veterinarians with routine exams and procedures

  • Providing surgical and hospital nursing care, including anaesthetic monitoring

  • Delivering pre- and post-operative patient care, as well as offering grief support to clients

  • Administering medications and preparing treatments as required

  • Managing the admission and discharge process for surgical and hospital patients

  • Communicating treatment plans and updates to clients

  • Performing blood collection, testing, and IV catheter placement

  • Assisting with diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds)

  • Supporting dental care, including scale and polish and performing dental x-rays

  • Contributing to day-to-day nursing tasks to support our vets and team in providing the highest standard of patient care

  • Mentoring and training of Vet Nurses within the team
