Key responsibilities:

  • Generate and analyze financial reports in Xero, ensuring GAAP compliance.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting by analyzing historical data and monitoring budget performance.
  • Manage tax compliance by preparing and filing various tax returns and supporting auditing processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred. 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or corporate finance, with hands-on Xero expertise. Proficiency in Xero for financial reporting, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and tax compliance, alongside strong Excel skills for data analysis. Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls, applied effectively within Xero. Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data in Xero, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting, compliance, and record-keeping using Xero. Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and present financial insights from Xero to non-financial stakeholders.

Core responsibilities:

Generate and analyze financial reports in Xero, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring GAAP compliance. Use Xero to maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, manage accounts payable/receivable, and perform bank reconciliations. Record financial transactions in Xero, including journal entries, expenses, and revenue, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Assist in budgeting and forecasting within Xero by analyzing historical data, monitoring budget performance, and identifying variances. Manage tax compliance in Xero by preparing and filing income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax returns, staying updated on regulatory changes. Support auditing processes by generating reports in Xero, providing financial documentation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Utilize Xero’s tools to enforce internal controls, streamline financial workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance.
