๐Ÿ—“ Monday โ€“ Friday | 2:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 PM

โ˜€๏ธ Summer Program (Julyโ€“August)

  • Beacon & Elementary School Sites: Mondayโ€“Thursday, 12 PM โ€“ 6 PM | Friday, 8 AM โ€“ 6 PM (July 2 โ€“ Aug 15)

  • Middle School Sites: Mondayโ€“Thursday, 12 PM โ€“ 6 PM | Friday, 8 AM โ€“ 6 PM (July 2 โ€“ Aug 8)

  • Forest Hills & Pomonok Community Centers (K-5): Mondayโ€“Friday, 8 AM โ€“ 6 PM (July 2 โ€“ Aug 15)

๐ŸŽฏ Position Overview

Weโ€™re looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Group Leaders to join our After-School & Summer Camp Youth Development Programs! In this role, youโ€™ll mentor, supervise, and inspire elementary and middle school students in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.

As a positive role model, youโ€™ll lead interactive and educational activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. Multiple positions are available across Queens, NY!


โœจ Key Responsibilities

๐Ÿ“Œ Program Leadership & Activity Facilitation

โœ”๏ธ Supervise and engage students in dynamic daily activities.
โœ”๏ธ Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans.
โœ”๏ธ Provide academic support, homework help, and skill-building activities.

๐Ÿค Collaboration & Communication

โœ”๏ธ Work closely with the Educational Specialist, Program Director, and Assistant Directors.
โœ”๏ธ Maintain strong communication with students, staff, families, and school partners.
โœ”๏ธ Assist in coordinating special events, field trips, and thematic projects.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Student Engagement & Safety

โœ”๏ธ Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment that encourages respect and teamwork.
โœ”๏ธ Ensure the safety and security of all students.
โœ”๏ธ Serve as a mentor and role model, leading by example.

๐Ÿ“š Professional Development & Compliance

โœ”๏ธ Attend weekly staff meetings and complete required training.
โœ”๏ธ Follow all program policies, safety protocols, and compliance guidelines.
โœ”๏ธ Take on additional tasks to support overall program success.


๐Ÿ“Œ Qualifications

โœ”๏ธ Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
โœ”๏ธ Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in Education, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field is a plus!
โœ”๏ธ Experience: 1+ year of experience leading youth activities in after-school, summer camp, or similar settings.
โœ”๏ธ Skills:
๐Ÿ”น Strong group management, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
๐Ÿ”น Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in challenging situations.
๐Ÿ”น Experience working with elementary or middle school-aged youth preferred.
โœ”๏ธ Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and strong verbal & written communication skills.
โœ”๏ธ Clearances: Must pass NYS DOH & DOE Fingerprinting, NYS Clearance Review, three reference checks, and a physical exam (including a TB test).
