Location: West Dublin, Ireland
Contract: This role is for a 6-month engagement (probably 12 months +), with the first 4 weeks requiring the person to be onsite. After that, the position transitions to a hybrid model, with 2 days per week in the office in West Dublin. Garda vetting is required before starting

Job Specification:
Purpose

Data Architect to develop an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) using a Kimball model approach.

Scope of Work:

• Design and build a granular, incrementally growable EDW.

• Develop necessary Dimensions and Fact tables, focusing initially on Inpatient, Outpatient, and Waiting List data.

• Integrate with existing on-premises SQL Server 2019 Enterprise infrastructure.

• Link Fact tables to Dimensions using an ER model.

Technical Requirements

• Utilise Microsoft technologies: SQL Server 2019, Visual Studio, SSIS, and Stored Procedures.

• Implement SQL Agent Catalogue for job scheduling.

• Maintain unique prefixes for Staging, Transactional, and Data Warehouse tables.

• Facilitate regular updates and responsiveness to business requirements.

• Implement failure notifications and an Audit Table for job execution logging.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in Data Warehouse design and implementation using the Kimball approach.

• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server technologies, SSIS, and data visualization tools.

• Strong understanding of ER models, ETL processes, and data quality standards.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
