Implement and enforce workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
Ensure all workers are equipped with proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain safety documentation, including risk assessments, audits, and compliance reports.
Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety.
Conduct emergency response drills and ensure all personnel are aware of evacuation procedures.
Monitor compliance with local and international safety standards such as OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001.
Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure workplace safety regulations are met.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification is mandatory.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
Excellent report-writing and documentation skills.
Strong communication and leadership skills to enforce safety protocols.
Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and enforce compliance.
