Note: This position requires full-time onsite work.


Job Description:

The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is implementing a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to replace legacy data sources. The Sr. Technical Business Analyst will work closely with business owners, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective business analysis, data management, and quality throughout the EHR system implementation.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the project manager, technical team, and stakeholders through the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to define and scope business problems and recommend solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, software users, and SMEs to elicit, analyze, validate, and verify requirements.
  • Ensure developers clearly understand business requirements through articulated artifacts.
  • Develop as-is and to-be business process flows for accurate system implementation.
  • Conduct requirements workshops and JAD sessions to gather requirements effectively.
  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, system specifications, workflow diagrams, mockups, prototypes, and swim lane diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with ITS governance processes and Secure Systems Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
  • Manage requirements traceability to ensure test coverage for all functional aspects.
