Job Summary:
The Pre-Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our Penetration Testing and Red Team practice. This role requires an understanding of cybersecurity, particularly in offensive security services, to effectively communicate our value proposition to prospective clients. The ideal candidate will work closely with our sales team, technical consultants, and clients to understand their security needs, design tailored solutions, and help close deals.
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will engage with prospective clients to identify their security needs and showcase how our penetration testing and security assessments can help mitigate potential vulnerabilities. You will also conduct hands-on penetration testing, deliver technical reports, and assist the sales team with technical guidance to close deals effectively. Your work will be crucial in shaping client relationships and driving security solutions that align with their business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the sales team to identify client needs and define the scope of penetration testing and red team engagements.
- Lead technical discussions with clients to explain the value of our services, methodologies, and tools.
- Conduct detailed demonstrations and presentations of our services, showcasing technical expertise and understanding of the client's challenges.
- Collaborate with technical consultants to design customized penetration testing and red team solutions that meet client-specific requirements.
- Develop and articulate detailed proposals, statements of work (SOW), and other technical documentation.
- Ensure that proposed solutions align with industry standards, best practices, and client budgets.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in penetration testing and red teaming.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during the pre-sales process, including responding to RFPs/RFIs.
- Assist in developing content for technical marketing materials, such as whitepapers, case studies, and webinars.
- Work closely with the delivery team to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to project execution.
- Participate in post-engagement reviews to capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity issues.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services.
What you will bring to the role:
- 2+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions architect, or technical consulting role within the cybersecurity industry.
- Experience in a hands-on role in penetration testing or red teaming is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address client needs.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of penetration testing, red teaming, and offensive security methodologies is preferrable
- Understanding of security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10) and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR), also desirable
