The Salvation Army Family Violence Stream provides a broad range of programs to support women and their children who have experienced domestic, family and sexual violence. Our services provide specialised support to address immediate safety needs and provide casework, referrals, and connection to assist the healing and recovery journey.
Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a 1-year Fixed Term Part time position (with potential to extend) based on Gadigal Land in Inner West and Central Sydney.
Salary in accordance with SCHADS Level 5.
Due to the nature of this service, to identify as a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under s.31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
As an Outreach Case Manager, you will work with clients to develop and implement case plans that support their recovery and independence, including risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, and referrals to relevant services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct comprehensive risk, safety and needs assessments.
Develop and implement individual case plans that address the needs and goals of clients.
Provide outreach support to women living in the community or transitioning from crisis accommodation.
Support clients to access appropriate housing, legal, financial, and health services.
Strengthen partnerships with other service providers to improve referral pathways.
Advocate for clients within relevant systems, such as courts, housing, and social services.
Participate in community engagement activities and contributing to service development.
Degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare (Social Sciences), Community Development, or a related field.
Experience delivering services to children and families who have experienced trauma and family violence.
Current employee Working with Children Check
Current, valid Driver’s Licence is required.
