Prepare a variety of authentic South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, rice varieties, and curries.
Maintain taste, texture, and consistency across all preparations.
Monitor inventory and inform management of required ingredients and supplies.
Ensure proper food handling, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards as per FSSAI or HACCP norms.
Maintain accurate records of food production, wastage, and kitchen cleaning schedules.
Collaborate with kitchen staff and ensure timely food preparation during peak hours.
Prepare meals in accordance with customer preferences and dietary restrictions when applicable.
Plan and assist in buffet or Γ la carte menus, festivals, or special food promotions.
Minimum 10th or 12th pass; Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts is preferred.
Proven experience (1β3 years) as a South Indian Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or catering setup.
Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and standard recipes.
In-depth knowledge of traditional South Indian ingredients and cooking techniques.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple orders.
Strong sense of taste, presentation, and portion control.
Time management and team coordination skills.
