We are seeking a skilled and experienced ARC Welder to join our client's fabrication team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in manual metal arc welding (MMAW/SMAW) techniques and capable of delivering high-quality welds on a variety of metal components. The candidate must be able to interpret technical drawings, ensure compliance with welding standards, and maintain workplace safety at all times.
Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) on carbon steel, stainless steel, or alloy metals.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
Carry out welding operations in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead, etc.) as per job requirements.
Conduct visual inspections and perform basic non-destructive testing to verify weld integrity.
Ensure that welding meets ASME/ANSI/API standards or other project-specific codes.
Clean and maintain welding equipment and tools regularly.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, especially in confined spaces or elevated work environments.
Assist in fitting, tacking, and assembly of fabricated parts when required.
Maintain documentation related to work progress, materials used, and welding reports.
ITI / Diploma in Welding or a related technical field.
Valid Welding Certifications (e.g., 3G/4G/6G SMAW certifications preferred).
Experience in industrial, construction, or shipyard welding environments is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and tools.
Proficiency in handling manual arc welding machines and electrodes.
Ability to identify weld defects and recommend corrective actions.
Familiarity with welding codes and safety regulations.
Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
Ability to work in hot, dusty, or physically demanding environments.
