We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Asst. Manager – Production to oversee and drive performance across all foundry operations, including Melting, Moulding, Core Shop, Pattern Shop, and Fettling. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in SG and Grey Iron casting processes and be well-versed in IATF 16949 quality standards. Experience in high-pressure moulding and process cost control is essential for this role.
Lead end-to-end foundry production operations to achieve daily output, quality, and efficiency targets.
Manage Melting, Moulding (both Hand & High-Pressure Lines), Core Shop, Pattern Shop, and Fettling areas.
Drive continuous improvements in productivity, yield, and quality through Lean Manufacturing principles.
Conduct rejection analysis, implement CAPA, and ensure root-cause elimination to reduce internal and customer rejections.
Monitor and control process costs, including job estimation, resource planning, and material usage.
Ensure strict compliance with IATF 16949 and associated tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and planning teams to align production plans with customer requirements.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure operator training.
Participate in budgeting and Capex planning for foundry equipment and infrastructure.
Maintain production documentation, cost records, and performance reports for management review.
Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines and foster a culture of safety.
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering or related field
Experience: 8–12 years of relevant experience in Foundry Operations (SG Iron / Grey Iron), with at least 3 years in a supervisory/assistant manager role
Expertise in SG Iron and Grey Iron production methods
Knowledge of High-Pressure Moulding Line, Core Shooters, and Fettling processes
Sound understanding of job costing, estimation, and process cost control
Familiarity with machine shop operations is an added advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Hands-on experience in quality systems and documentation under IATF standards
Good communication, leadership, and team management abilities
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and production monitoring tools
