Application Support Specialist
We are seeking an Application Support Specialist to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As an Application Support Specialist at Marsh, you will be responsible for problem solving, knowledge generation, and developing repeatable processes, and you will respond as the escalation point for non-standard issues and incidents and is responsible for the construction of standard communications.
We will count on you to:
- Provide production support for applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application issues, working closely with the Incident Management team to handle major incidents effectively.
- Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration, including scaling, and managing containerized applications.
- Read and analyze logs from Kubernetes and application containers to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Manage and query MongoDB (NoSQL database) and SQL/Oracle databases to support application functionality.
- Utilize ServiceNow or other ITSM tools for service request management, incident management, and problem management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and implement solutions.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related technical field
- 2-3 years’ experience in Application Support role
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application production support, with expertise in Kubernetes, MongoDB, SQL/Oracle databases, and IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
- This role involves managing incidents, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our applications in both on-prem and cloud environment.
- Advanced Level of English is a Must
