About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We’re looking for a visionary Director of Revenue Marketing to accelerate growth within our existing customer base. In this role, you’ll lead global initiatives that deepen customer engagement, increase product adoption, and drive expansion across both commercial and enterprise segments.
This role requires a creative thinker with a strong blend of strategic vision, sales partnership, program execution expertise, and leadership skills. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Brand — to amplify customer stories, build lasting relationships, and drive measurable business outcomes through customer-centric programs.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You’ll Do
Growth Strategy for Existing Customers
Partner closely with Customer Expansion Sales leadership to build and evolve an effective marketing strategy and plan that meets/exceeds pipeline and usage goals.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape and addressable market to guide marketing priorities, with deep understanding of Fivetran’s customer base, our market and competitive environment.
Customer Engagement & Retention Campaigns
Develop and execute customer-driven marketing strategies and programs to increase awareness, product usage, retention and expansion.
Innovation & Experimentation
Establish and lead a comprehensive experimentation strategy across diverse customer segments, product use cases, and marketing channels.
Cross-Functional Enablement
Work closely with teams in Marketing to formulate and execute launches, integrated campaigns, and account-based marketing plans.
Collaborate closely with Product Marketing to develop relevant messaging, positioning, and region-specific content plans.
Revenue Accountability
Own KPIs tied to expansion pipeline, customer marketing-influenced revenue, and campaign performance metrics. Use data to optimize and scale what works. Analyze data to optimize programs and demonstrate ROI to senior management.
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize ROI.
Team Leadership
Manage the Customer Expansion Marketing team, responsible for 1:1 and 1:few programs targeting strategic, enterprise and commercial customers.
Hire and coach top talent. Recruit, train, and motivate a dynamic organization of marketing leaders and individual contributors, empowering them with the skills to meet and exceed KPIs.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors, agencies, and strategic partners to enhance execution and maximize sponsorship opportunities.
Skills We’re Looking For
10+ years of Marketing leadership experience with a focus on customer expansion and partnering with Sales leaders to drive growth
7+ years experience managing a team of 3+ members
Experience working for technology companies selling to global enterprises
Track record of designing and executing high-performing, integrated marketing campaigns that drive pipeline growth with senior executive audiences
Deep understanding of account based marketing, event operations, agency management and industry standards for targeting the enterprise and commercial segments
Skilled in using BI platforms to perform segmentation analysis and uncover actionable trends across the customer lifecycle
Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making as well as a consistent track record of delivering against pipeline targets
Experience fostering a high-performance team culture
Bonus Skills
Prior experience in the data integration space, or in the Snowflake and Databricks ecosystem
