UGC Specialist, Performance Creative

About the Role

Media.Monks is looking to expand our creative service capabilities by hiring a full-time Senior UGC Specialist for our Performance Creative team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Creative, you will be a trailblazer helping to expand the UGC offering for a top performance marketing agency.  You will partner with our media team and alongside clients to develop paid ads that drive results.

Our performance creative team generates UGC to drive conversions for our clients. We work with content creators, not  influencers, to produce white-labeled ad concepts for a variety of client types (ecomm, B2C lead gen, DTC, B2B). We don’t churn out content: we develop thoughtful, testing-led concepts with specific learning plans. We don’t depend on ‘gotchas’ or misleading hooks, we uphold the brand standards of our clients and produce high-quality work.

This role’s primary function is to own our UGC production process in full: developing client-specific concepts, talent sourcing, scripting, shot list development, talent kickoffs + coaching, footage review, reshoot requests, and video editing. You will be dedicated to 3-4 high-growth clients.

Responsibilities:

• Proven experience in content creation, with their own portfolio of self-edited UGC (required).
• Expertise in editing to direct-response channel best practices, and can explain why their editing decisions will drive clicks + conversions. 
• Fluency in sound design, adding captions and transitions.

• Experience translating client briefs into direct response UGC concepts.

• Project + process management skills, completing every concept on time and efficiently, with high ATD. Comfortable with multiple projects active at once.

• People skills - able to collaborate with our strategists + producers and confidently coach talent to film top quality content. Not afraid to give feedback and ask for reshoots.

• Proactivity. We’re looking for a self-starter who’s excited to further build our quickly growing UGC offering with their unique perspective.
• Experience in writing authentic scripts as a starting point for creators. Experience crafting shot lists and storyboards to aptly explain your vision to clients, teammates, and talent. Ability to develop and execute hook and variant testing.
• Proven business acumen across a variety of models: ecomm, B2B, lead gen, etc. Experience working with compliance regulated industries (e.g. healthcare, wellness, finance) is a plus.
• Comfortability with and/or willingness to learn performance metrics and performance creative testing strategies.
• Deep knowledge of video editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere). Experience with Asana and Frame.io is a plus.

About You

• 3+ years of relevant work experience (agency preferred), 2+ of those years in UGC production and editing
• Portfolio is required
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Deep familiarity with what makes compelling short form content
• 4 year college degree (preferably in a related field) or equivalent work experience
