In order to continue our growth, we are seeking a Development Technical Lead. As a Technical Lead, you will oversee a team of software developers responsible for delivering high-quality, custom software solutions. In this pivotal role, you will own the technical execution of projects—from planning and architecture to delivery—while coaching your team, enforcing best practices, and ensuring alignment with business goals. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects to drive client success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a development team to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
  • Own the technical direction of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Solution Architects during the design and planning phases.
  • Participate in planning, grooming, and design meetings to ensure user stories and tickets are technically sound.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to coding standards, best practices, and code review processes.
  • Manage day-to-day team activities, including assigning tasks, tracking progress in Jira, and resolving technical issues.
  • Provide mentorship and regular 1:1 coaching to developers; support their career growth and training needs.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point within your team and help resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure team members log accurate and timely hours, and proactively address under- or over-performance.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new developers onto your projects, ensuring all tools, accesses, and context are provided.
  • Maintain technical documentation to support onboarding and project continuity.
  • Report developer availability, PTO, and leave schedules to project leadership.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across the Custom Development team.

  • AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, SQS, Cognito, Step Functions, Secrets Manager)

DevOps & CI/CD:

  • GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, CodePipeline, Azure DevOps

Version Control:

  • Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab

Project Management & Collaboration:

  • Jira, Trello, Monday.com, ClickUp
  • Bamboo for performance tracking

Requirements

  • C1 English proficiency (verbal and written).
    Proven experience leading software development teams and managing technical projects.
  • Strong technical skills in modern software architectures (especially serverless), frontend or backend development, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with the full software development lifecycle, including agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and time management.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in a Technical Lead or Senior Developer role in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with both frontend and backend stacks (you will lead projects across both areas regardless of specialty).
  • Background in managing developers in distributed or remote environments.
