Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master – Lead Consultant with our client in the transportation industry in their Atlanta, GA location. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Description:
Seeking an Agile Scrum Master – Lead Consultant

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate Scrum events like Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Story Grooming, Demos, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Ensure these events are effective and focused on achieving team goals
  • Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress
  • Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and external stakeholders to address issues, including initiative Kickoffs, feedback loops and progress discussions
  • Coach the Scrum team and the wider organization on Scrum theory and practice
  • Help the team understand and adopt Agile principles and best practices
  • Empower the team to self-organize and make decisions about their work
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Identify areas for improvement in the team's workflow and processes
  • Experiment with new approaches and practices to enhance team performance
  • Act as a bridge between the Scrum team and other stakeholders, including product owners and management
  • Communicate the team's progress and challenges effectively

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst in an IT environment
  • Proficient in using Agility or similar agile project management tools
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical deliverables
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders

Desired skills:
  • Familiarity with airline operations or travel industry IT systems
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
