🎯 What You’ll Do in This Role:

The Health Plan Management Administrative Assistant provides vital administrative and project support to the Health Plan Management department under the direction of the Health Plan Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

Administrative & Operational Support:

  • Performs a variety of administrative tasks to support the Health Plan Management department, including external appointment scheduling, transportation coordination, and responding to benefit, eligibility, and authorization inquiries.
  • Provides backup support to other Health Plan Management (HPM) staff as needed.

Task & Time Management:

  • Prioritizes daily workload effectively to meet deadlines while coordinating with other departments’ schedules and workflows.

Data Management & Technical Skills:

  • Utilizes the electronic medical record system to complete advanced data collection, reporting, and project-related tasks.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with team members and external partners
  • Accepts direction and feedback in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Compliance & Professional Conduct:

  • Adheres to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, demonstrating professionalism and integrity at all times.

 What You’ll Need:

  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Certification in a healthcare or insurance-related field preferred
  • At least one year of experience working with the frail, elderly, or long-term care population preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Ability to learn and effectively navigate an Electronic Health Record system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrates professionalism, critical thinking, creativity, flexibility, and effective problem-solving
  • Highly organized with excellent time management abilities
