Eye Center of Central Georgia, an affiliate of Eye Health America, is a growing, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Nurse Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Center. This is a highly specialized nursing role that requires a deep understanding of surgical procedures, patient care, medical equipment, and management of staff.

Responsibilities:

Assumes responsibility for updating knowledge of current polices and procedures, protocol and practices.
Monitor patients during surgical procedures and provide support to the surgical team
Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgical team
Develops and implements an adequate staffing plan, effective interview skills, and manages retention and turnover.
Determines supplies, equipment and staffing are in place for successful operation of the department.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes

Requirements

Active RN license in the state of practice
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
Minimum of 2 years of management experience
Knowledge of surgical procedures, medical equipment, and anesthesia administration
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
