Description

Position Summary:


Cooks and serves nutritionally balanced, visually appealing, good tasting meals for residential clients, day clients and staff. Maintains the cleanliness, organization and inventory of all kitchen areas. 


Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field
  • Experienced in (or is passionate about) preparing Keto Diet/Metabolic Wellness inspired meals

Qualifications Desired:

  • B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Nutrition, Nutrition Sciences or a related field
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Formal culinary training preferred
  • Strong preference to those with formal nutrition training

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing breakfast on an as needed basis
  • Preparing lunch and dinner for fifteen to twenty people
  • Grocery shopping for meals, snacks and special food requests
  • Cleaning of the kitchen and all necessary equipment
  • Providing healthy, well balanced and appropriately portioned meals
  • Preparing meals based on allergy information and special dietary restrictions

Nonessential Functions:

  • Other related duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs, must be able to work on their feet ~7.5 -10 hours per day excluding breaks, must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines, must have a valid Driver’s License, clean driver's record and a reliable automobile
  • Work Environment: Most work is performed indoors in the kitchen setting
Salary Description
$20-$25/hr
