Temporary Mechanical Drafter (Part-Time – Immediate Start)

Location: On-site | EnviroTech Molded Products, Inc. – Salt Lake City, UT
Hours: 20–29 hours per week
Compensation: $25/hour (non-benefits eligible)
Duration: Temporary – estimated 2 to 3 months

EnviroTech Molded Products is seeking a temporary, part-time mechanical drafter to support our Engineering Department during a key system implementation project. This individual will work closely with our Senior Design Drafter to assist with creating and updating filter plate drawings using SolidWorks.

What You’ll Do:

• Create and revise mechanical drawings for our molded filter plates using SolidWorks 
• Match molded components to setup drawings, ensuring accurate representation of the part and process 
• Apply a mechanical mindset to match thread types, hole diameters, and other common fastener-related details 
• Support drawing reviews by checking for dimensional accuracy and customer-specific requirements 
• Assist with organizing and migrating drawings into our new PDM system (training provided)

What You Need:

• Basic mechanical or architectural drafting knowledge is required 
• A mechanical brain – you must understand how parts fit together and be able to think through simple design choices  
• Strong attention to detail – this is a critical aspect of success in the role  
• Ability to read and interpret mold setup drawings  
• Experience with SolidWorks is required 
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus (we can train if needed)
