We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Engineer with specialization in Fire Fighting Engineering to ensure the implementation of safety protocols and effective fire protection systems at project or operational sites. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of fire safety design, emergency response planning, risk assessment, and compliance with national and international fire safety regulations.
Design, inspect, and implement fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, hydrants, extinguishers) as per project requirements and safety codes.
Conduct fire risk assessments and hazard analysis at various project stages.
Review and approve fire safety layouts, equipment specifications, and installation plans.
Monitor site activities and ensure strict compliance with fire safety standards (NFPA, NBC, etc.).
Coordinate and lead emergency preparedness drills and fire evacuation training.
Liaise with local authorities, fire departments, and civil defense for necessary approvals and inspections.
Conduct regular fire safety audits and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain documentation for fire safety plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
Provide technical support during the design, construction, and commissioning phases.
Advise project and site teams on fire safety best practices and safety culture.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Fire & Safety Engineering / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Certification in Fire Fighting / Industrial Safety (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or NFPA certifications) is highly desirable.
Minimum 3β7 years of experience in fire fighting system design, installation, and safety enforcement in construction, oil & gas, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in handling fire safety during large-scale projects or operational facilities.
Strong knowledge of fire safety standards, codes (NFPA, NBC, IS codes), and statutory regulations.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using design software (AutoCAD, FireCAD, etc.).
Good understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression system integration.
