We are hiring a CNS/CNM2 Infection Prevention & Control for a Hospital in Galway, Ireland.
This is a temporary post - Maternity Leave Cover
37.5 hours per week Responsibilities
Serve as a responsible role model by offering professional leadership and showcasing best practices in infection prevention and control.
Conduct audits, compile reports, and offer feedback to the Consultant Microbiologist and other relevant personnel.
To deliver excellent, client-centered care while acknowledging the significant impact of a creative, well-run service
To keep an eye on and assess the resources and procedures utilised through risk management and audit.
Determines the priorities for health promotion in specialised infection control.
Establishes an effective surveillance system for infection control to enable the timely detection of infected patients and employees.
Requirements
Be listed or qualified to be listed in the NMBI Nurse Register's General Division.
It is preferred if you have a higher diploma or similar course in infection prevention and control nursing or a related sector, or are ready to get one.
At least three years in the appropriate field and at least five years after registering in an acute setting
Possess the clinical, managerial, and administrative skills necessary to carry out the duties of the position effectively.
Provide proof of ongoing professional growth at the suitable level.
