Job Description & Summary

The Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team is part of the Deals Strategy & Operations business unit. Our fast-growing practice focuses on providing support for potential, actual transactions and assists clients in all operational integration aspects of the transaction, pre and post completion, including: Buy side operational, integration due diligence; Synergy development and review; Sell-side due diligence; Carve-out; Turnaround; Taking control and 100-day planning; Value creation plan; Mergers & Acquisitions Integration; Post-acquisition performance improvement.

Our team helps governments and companies navigate growth ambitions and drive the creation of sustainable value. As part of the team, you’ll formulate actionable growth strategies, drive identification and prioritization of initiatives to capture value, develop roadmaps to activate those initiatives, determine required acquisitions or divestments to enable growth, and consider financial reporting implications for deals. We’re looking for passionate and motivated individuals who want to be a part of building a growing part of the practice and support PwC to be a market leader in the Energy, Resources and Sustainability (ERS) space.

Role Responsibilities

As a Deals Delivering Value Director you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to structure complex business issues from strategy through to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee post-merger integrations, identifying and leveraging synergies to enhance value creation and ensure successful integration of acquisitions for clients across energy, power and water sector

  • Provide expert advice on setting deal strategies, managing post-deal execution, and supporting operational due diligence for potential acquisitions

  • Assist government entities and other clients with Day 1 readiness activities to ensure smooth transitions and operational continuity post-acquisition

  • Oversee and manage complex projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery (may include multiple projects at a time, while leading a team consultants)

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and senior executives

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to sell additional services and new work, collaborating with the DDV team and the wider PwC network

  • Lead business development efforts, including drafting proposals and marketing materials to secure new mandates

  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Share industry knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.

  • Managing project budget, reporting on project costs, and managing payment collection

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in management consulting with a focus on advising governments

  • Proven experience working within the Middle East region, with a strong understanding of regional market dynamics is preferred

  • Has lead in the execution and program management of post-merger integrations / carve outs ranging from large scale acquisitions and disposals to smaller scale transactions with both public and private sector clients in the energy industry

  • Extensive expertise and a successful track record in delivering transaction-related services such as operational due diligence, post-merger integration, carve-outs, and operational turnarounds for large companies and private equity funds

  • Possess a deep understanding of investment strategies, deal structuring, and the M&A process, bringing valuable insights and solutions to complex transactions and investment opportunities

  • Demonstrates a track record of successfully guiding teams and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective delivery and exceptional outcomes

  • Excels in fostering collaborative relationships at all organizational levels, earning credibility with both senior management and external clients through effective communication and partnership

  • Ability to communicate confidently and persuasively to diverse audiences, delivering clear and impactful messages that resonate with various stakeholders

  • Exhibits strong time management and organizational abilities, adept at prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines efficiently

  • Your flexibility to travel 40-60% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required.
