Salary:   £12.40 per hour + Benefits listed below

Hours per week: 40 hours, Monday to Friday 6am - 3pm

This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all pick slots are cleaned regularly as per cleaning schedules and maintained to a high standard of housekeeping and all areas are free from dust, disused packaging and damaged equipment is replaced.

What you'd be looking after on a daily basis:

  • Cleaning of all pick faces in the warehouse including all library, manual line/gravity feed, Bulk, and Automats where applicable, following the specified cleaning schedules.
  • Scheduled low level cleaning activities and dust control
  • To ensure that the cleaning schedule is signed off by the Manager or Team leader at the end of each shift.
  • Identify and report any failures to follow or complete the cleaning schedule and escalate to the attention of the Manager or Team leader.
  • To follow specific training to clean all areas as per work instructions including library, manual line/gravity feed, Bulk area and Automat where required.
  • To follow 'First Expired, First Out' when replenishing stock back into slot.
  • To replace any worn barcode holder strips and shelf labels and to liase with Manager or Team leader for replenishment of stock holding strips.
  • To be able to competently use job specific equipment.
  • Identify and report any equipment failures to the Manager or Team leader.
  • Assist in identifying that the condition of the stock being removed from the pick face is acceptable e.g., in date and not damaged.
  • Any stock found incorrectly located or damaged, this stock must be placed into the designated sinbin location which is in a clearly marked area within the warehouse.
  • To ensure that all calls requesting a cleaner are responded to in an efficient manner.
  • To ensure that the cleaning stations all contain clean mops and clean water.
  • To ensure that the compactors are emptied in accordance with the manufacturers recommended guidelines.
  • Compactor area to be cleaned at the end of the shift.
  • All cardboard cages to be emptied and returned to their place within the warehouse.
  • To separate all cardboard and plastic packaging and deposit in correct waste disposal units.
  • To ensure any waste materials are secured in disposal units inside and outside so they will not pollute any surrounding environments.
  • To adhere to all company housekeeping procedures.
  • To comply with all company Health and Safety requirements.
  • To carry out any reasonable requests as determined by Branch Management.

Desirable:

Minimum of 2 years cleaning experience of working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable!
