Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, PROC, Endeavor, CA7, MQ
4+ years experience with DB2, VSAM
4+ years experience and ability to use EZTRIEVE and REXX
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years experience with modern technology (Cloud, API, Pipeline & Test Automation, Gen/Agentic AI)
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or any Engineering field
Deep knowledge of Agile concepts with working experience being part of a team that users Scrum methodology to deliver incremental business value.
Familiar with Product operating model and experience working in that environment
Prior financial/banking experience
Service Now, Agile, and basic testing practices

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Core Banking Deposits space. We are looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Engineer with hands on experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, PCDs, CA-7 scheduling, APIs. This Engineer will work on Hogan IDS platform supporting the DDA and TDA functions. This team sits in the heart of Wells Fargo banking ecosystem and support critical functions that makes the bank ran smoothly. The Engineer will be counted on to provide technical expertise for technical issues, supporting mainframe file processing, Business Continuity Planning exercises and implementation. This role will also get involved in the multi-year Core Banking Modernization effort the bank is embarking on. This is an exciting time to join the team and work on both legacy and modern technology, including opportunities in the Gen AI/Agentic AI space.
